A Spring Celebration for People and Their Pets
On April 28th, Tara joined PAWS CHICAGO's fundraising efforts to build and maintain No-Kill communities for animals. Between 1997 and 2018, the euthanasia rate for the city of Chicago has been reduced by 91 percent, but there is still much work to be done!
To raise money in support of homeless pet rescue, PAWS Chicago Professional Board hosted more than 650 of Chicago's urban professionals, animal lovers, and their canine companions for a lavish buffet, silent auctions & raffles, dancing, and more.
Pets are Worth Saving, otherwise known as PAWS, is the Midwest's largest No-Kill shelter. Since the founding of PAWS Chicago in 1998, over 76,000 pets have found permanent homes. In 2022, 98.04% of the animals that entered the PAWS program were saved.
With both dogs and guests dressed in tuxes, frilly dresses, and other lavish accessories, the event was a night to remember. Canine guests enjoyed their time in doggie daycare and relaxed at a "pampered pooch station".
